Hello there to our loyal fanbase!
After trying to convince us that he is mainly nocturnal, we caught Joe while he was awake for a few hours during daylight. This was thrilling not just because it gave us hope for a slightly better night's sleep, but also a chance to capture him with his eyes open, without being blinded by a flash. Beware, these were taken by a hormonal mother who is well aware that he will not stay little for long, and so is trying to capture every little detail (translation: lots of close-ups that may look like duplicates to you, but not to me).

Walker Has Game

Walker has many hats he wears, whether it a football helmet, a baseball cap or getting all those good grades in school, and he wears them with a tenacity and drive that few can match. Check him out in these photos from this past basketball season. His team won the league tournament!

Joe is Doing Just Fine

A quick update on how Joe is doing. We went to our second post delivery doctors appointment yesterday and Joe is doing great! Color and weight are good and he's eating like a maniac. We are working on getting his days and nights in order, but as babies are, you can't make them not be hungry every hour! Mama is tired but she is doing a fantastic job. I'm relearning the art of the quick diaper change. If you can put two and two together, Joe eating more means more diaper changes.

Thanks to all of those who have visited and brought us food. We are truly grateful. Also thanks to others who continue to shower us with gifts. We are fortunate to have such wonderful support and one day we hope to repay you in some way.

We are off today to Aunt Aninda and Uncle Dino's place to watch the US beat up on Ghana. Baby Daphne and other little ones might be there as well! yay!

Joe's big brother, Walker, is at the beach for the next two weeks. What a lucky guy!!

From Mom & Grandma

For our showers, my mother gave us some time-tested words of wisdom of my grandmother's ironed on to onesies.

Get messy? "You're washable!"

Grandma & Grandpa were going out of town, and left a note for their 6 adult children, written on an envelope and taped to a cabinet. "Be patient with each other. It's worth it." The wrapping paper that evo drew to accompany this gift had a crying baby, a clock & a happy baby.

Ok. This isn't Grandma. It's Bruuuuce.

And a what about a potential nickname for the child of The Shirt?
This kid will be ready to rock, if s/he chooses. And gets his/her homework done. And remembers his/her manners. And reads regularly. While eating vegetables.
